Ellen Tuffly, MA, LPC Associate, NCC, is a neurodivergent and neuro-affirming counselor who helps clients navigate life transitions, identity, stress, masking, burnout, and the challenges that can come with feeling different from the people around them. She works with teens, young adults, adults, parents, and families, including twice-exceptional (2E) students and women who have been diagnosed with ADHD or autism later in life.
Ellen’s counseling style is warm, straightforward, creative, and collaborative. She integrates evidence-based interventions with humor, individual interests, and a strong respect for client autonomy. Her work is guided by kindness, curiosity, inclusivity, and authenticity, with the goal of helping clients build confidence, develop practical skills, and move toward greater self-understanding.
Her areas of focus include neurodivergence, ADHD, autism, women’s life transitions, parenting, divorce and abuse recovery, midlife, empty nesting, anxiety, and school or learning-related challenges. Her clinical approach may include cognitive-behavioral, narrative, person-centered, mindfulness-based, solution-focused, and strengths-based methods.
Ellen earned a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and is a National Certified Counselor. She practices as an LPC Associate under clinical supervision.
